How Invisalign® works At the start of treatment, impressions are made of your teeth. The data from these impressions is entered into an advanced 3-D computer imaging program to assist our dentist in creating your individualized treatment plan. This 3-D virtual technology also shows you what your teeth will eventually look like once the treatment is complete. The Invisalign® treatment usually involves about 30 aligners for the upper teeth and 30 aligners for the lower teeth. These aligners are worn in sequence, from the first set to the last set, usually in two week intervals. This process is continued until all of the aligners have been worn and the teeth have shifted into their final position.
